Sun demonstrated a sharp increase in activity

On the Sun there is a significant increase in activity. In particular, it erupted a record capacity.
Increased activity of the northern hemisphere of the Sun began on Friday, February 5, 2010. Then recorded an increase of X-ray radiation emitted by the star. Then around Saturday morning began to form a powerful flash of M, which by the end of the day reached a capacity of M1, 3 and M2, 9.
This increased activity has not stopped: Sunday, February 7, there was an outbreak power M6, 4. The previous record, which stood M3, 4 was installed just 18 days ago, during the growth of solar activity on 19-21 January. According to scientists, is currently in the northern hemisphere can see the emergence of the northern zone of activity. Experts believe that this belt will last 1-2 days, since the activity of the Sun has enough to sustain such a large-scale structure. So, now the Sun has been a gradual increase in activity. Thus, the growing power of outbreaks and their frequency. This means that in the near future we should expect from the Sun next attempt to withdraw from an abnormally long period of minimal activity. The power level is denoted by the letter of outbreaks and the number on the classification of GOES (Geostationary Operation Environmental Satellites). The letters denote the five power levels - A, B, C, M and X, and the figures indicate the gradation within each.
