Obtained new evidence that slaves did not build the pyramids
Egyptian archaeologists came to the burial of workers employed when the construction is the most famous pyramids of ancient Egypt - the pyramid of Cheops.
The head of the Supreme Council for Egyptian Antiquities Zahi Hawass said that they are located in the vicinity of the archaeological complex of Giza near the Great Pyramid. This suggests that the pyramids were built not slaves, but free-style labor, - informs INTV.
As proof he cited the following facts - if the pyramids were built slaves, their graves could not be located in this zone. In addition, the walls of the tombs, which are near the pyramid of Pharaoh Khufu, bear the words "Friends of Khufu". Simple slaves is not dared to do.
According to Egyptian scholars, the number of workers employed in the construction of the Great Pyramid, not exceed ten thousand.
The discovery of Giza - not the first. A series of these tombs was discovered in 1990.
