Archeological finds may rebut the dominant theory of human origins

Chinese archaeologists have found the fossilized skull had lain in the earth, according to experts, around 100 thousand years, the discovery could refute the dominant theory of the origin of modern human populations from Africa, reported local media on Thursday.

Was found in Henan province, well-preserved skull consists of 16 fragments.
"Even more surprising than the well-preserved fossilized membrane is on the inside, it will help scientists trace the device of nerves", - told the press an archaeologist at the Honan Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeological Research.
Most Chinese scholars share the multiregional theory of origin, according to which modern humans are descendants of populations from different regions.
Preliminary studies conducted by Beijing University, found a skull dated the age of 80 thousand to 100 thousand years. In addition to the skull, archaeologists have discovered about 30 thousand fossils.
A major factor that give weight to the prevailing theory of the origin from Africa, was the lack of human fossils from the age of 50 thousand to 100 thousand years in China. Scarce finds made by Chinese scientists in previous years, did not go to any comparison with African, well-preserved in arid climates.
Press has already called the discovery of Chinese archaeologists largest, after the findings of "Peking Man" in 1923.
Paleontologists do not hurry with conclusions, arguing that until the discovery has not been investigated thoroughly, all theories are just speculation. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
