Members of the French Parliament proposed to ban the wearing of Muslim women's clothing in public places




The situation in France around the veil, which Sarkozy called "a symbol of the enslavement of women, is rising. The Commission also proposed not to give the French a visa or citizenship of a foreign recalcitrant to wear niqab.
In September 2009 the Belgian Liberal Party "reform movement" (MR) has proposed legislation to ban the wearing of veils in Belgium.
The newly elected head of the Parliamentary Association of the Council of Europe (PACE), Mevlut Turk Chavushoglu, commenting on the decision of the parliamentary commission of France over the wearing of niqab, said that in the ordinary lives of citizens should not be restrictions.
